The Principia College Gridiron Club Membership Details

Support Principia College Football:  Join the Principia College Gridiron Club Today!

1. Eligibility to become a member of The Principia College Gridiron Club:

• Anyone who loves Principia and feels that the game of football is a special vehicle for character education

• No requirement to be a football alumnus either at the Upper School or the College

• A strong and genuine love of Principia College and its football program

2.  Types of Membership to The Principia College Gridiron Club:

• Regular Member: anyone who completes and submits an application to The Principia College Gridiron Club at any time – no time limits – and pays the annual dues of $25

• Founding Member: Anyone who joins The Gridiron Club within two years of the commencement date of the inaugural year, which was the date of the College Alumni Game, August 30, 2008 at the college field and pays the annual dues of $25

• Charter Member: Anyone who joins The Gridiron Club within two years of the commencement date of the inaugural year, which was the date of the College Alumni Game, August 30, 2008 at the college field and makes a cumulative contribution of $1,000 or more, up to $9,999.99, during the inaugural year

• Coach Crafton Premium Member: anyone who joins The Gridiron Club at any time and makes a cumulative contribution of $10,000 or more within a five-year period after joining.

3. Governance of The Principia College Gridiron Club:

• Governing by-laws and procedures will be formulated and approved by the membership at it’s first annual membership meeting, date to be determined.

• Executive Committee will be elected at the first annual meeting of the Gridiron Club, and their duties, responsibilities, and terms of office established in the By-laws.

4.  Activities of The Principia College Gridiron Club:

• Fundraisers: frequency and scope to be determined at least annually in concert with the officials of the Gold and Blue Club, the College Athletic Director, and the College football coaching staff.

• Social Events: frequency and scope to be determined at least annually in accordance with recommendations of the officials of the Gridiron Club.

Special Note:

The most recent Head Football Coach, Coach Brian Gavaletz, has created a needs list that we will use as a guide to help in our support of the program, but you can always earmark what you want to have your funds used for with checks made payable to the Gold and Blue Club.

As you probably know, the college football team is hurting for equipment and technological support to help the young men grow and compete in their tough schedule.  Additionally, there is not, and has not been for years, a cheerleading staff at the College; that needs to change.  The other sports have received extra support over the years; let’s start helping the sport we love.
